Z-Tilt Issues Octopus Max EZ on EZ5160 Pro running 48v

Everything homes fine X, Y, Z however Z-Tilt the X,Y steppers are fighting each other always in the front right corner of the build plate which then they lose steps and everything after that goes downhill. Also seems to only occur after the first the first attempt, e.g. on the second attempt. Attached is the printer config which I started to flatten due to making things easier to read and triage. Video of the issue: https://photos.app.goo.gl/n3XomHYpbRMAjhwN7 Going to try and swap new EZ5160s around and see if any different results. @miklschmidt I used the previous stepper configuration you provided however I had to specify the spi_software pins instead of the spi_bus as the bus keeps throwing errors about being able to register the z stepper with the global scaler

I see. I'm curious why it's moving so slow, i assume you changed the z_tilt speed? Anyway.. Good for debugging. So obviously you have a mechanical problem at the end there. Figure that one out 🙂

Are we sure it's mechanical if X Y and Z home correctly?

100% Noise like that is always a mechanical problem I can't see enough of the printer to tell you what the problem is I'd check the rails (alignment) Is there more resistance when you move the carriage by hand (with steppers disabled obviously) in the front right corner? Move stuff around, feel your way forward, figure out what's causing it

Ahh good points will start checking ty a ton

could also be belts walking off the idler

Came down to too much belt tension 🫣 Actually turned out to be missaligned pulley on the stepper causing the belt to hop off the bearing guides

Yeah this is a classic unfortunately
