Outer Worlds no cutscene video
Pretty minor... game runs flawlessly otherwise.

PAll cutscenes so far play with audio, but no video
CProton won't give any useful logs, please use wine-ge instead and send in a new log
CAlso you might try with Prefer System Libs on

It recommends installing and using GE-Proton7-17 to fix the issue. Not sure how to do this given that it is no longer one of the options available to download in Heroic. Is there a way to try this manually?

Dthe movies dont play because heroic flatpak doesnt have access to the codecs needed
D"use system libraries" is the way to fix this, as it will look on the system instead for the video codecs
Dfor me movies play perfectly fine
Din fact this game runs great overall no issues

AYou have to use
Wine-GE-Proton to see that option, NOT Proton-GE-Proton nor GE-ProtonAit should be in the game settings > others once you pick Wine-GE-Proton

-LoL, those are for league of legends)TWell would you look at that! It works. One detail for any other noobs like myself, it doesn't seem that the "preferred system libraries" option was there for "Wine-GE-Latest". I had to explicitly select the latest "Wine-GE-Proton" option in the "Wine Manager", download it, then asscoiate it to the game within the games setting. Just in case this is not clear to anyone, this is all done within the Heroic Game Launcher.
