Is it worth keeping boots that are a little wide?
Recently bought a pair of boots with the right length but they came in an "F" fit and the store doesn't carry the same size in any other widths. Basically the vamp doesn't firmly touch the inner part of my arch and I'm wondering if that's enough reason to return them.

My vote is to return them while you can. If they aren't properly fitting and you intend to walk in them a good bit, you'll only begin to hate them and never wear them.
Good call, have to return them and find another pair of black combat boots.
