coat colours
I wanna buy a coat, but I’m struggling with the colours. The coat should be for an outfit which is all black so far (turtleneck, dickies 874 and triple s). Should I go for the black or the grey coat?

I went through an entire Overcoat phase, owner of 8, none in the colors you chose, so please take the advice with a grain of salt.
The black overcoat will be more versatile with neutral colors and will pop more imo unless you are trying to go for a softer look. Additionally, the black overcoat will be less likely to stain, I will say if you have more black clothes and other neutrals (white, gray, etc.) that should be a great 1st Overcoat.
A couple items to mention, please make sure it fits properly. The biggest mistake people make is they buy overcoats too small, ensure you can fit other clothes if you plan to layer with Knit(s)/Hoodies.
Black is always a great first color for an overcoat, goes with basically everything. Check daniel simmons on Instagram, he just got a fear of god black overcoat and he's been styling it with chunky neutrals.
