athletic fit chinos
Hey crew I’m looking for some chinos that are pretty durable I’m 6’1 250 pretty athletic. So most traditional fits look too full, (not in the cool MFA way, but in the “those are your dads Pants way) I don’t want them to be slim, just fit neutrally. and straight fits are too tight. I used to wear Mason fit from BR. I can do bonobos athletic fit but they don’t last. Tried tons of action fits. (The whole list from dappered) tried flint and tinder 365, jcrew, old navy, Duluth, lands end, all either super stretchy and legging like. I’d also don’t want to spend over $100 unless I’m sure they will last. TIA.

if straight fits are too tight im not sure what options you have besides going wide. Why do you think they don't work on you in the "cool mfa way"?
I just like when my pants are a standard type fit. Creates some versatility for me in my job where I need to be put together but not to Trendy. (I work in education administration ) and I think the wide fit doesn’t match my position or at least that’s what I tell myself.
I just want them to fade into the background. So too tight or too loose doesn’t make that happen
Are you guys gonna roast me if I say uniqlo lol
i get that, but if straight fit (standard fit) isnt working i'm not sure you have many other options
the brands you listed dont do very accomodating fits, with the exception of jcrew which has the giant fit now
if you really arent feeling the wide look you can get a pair that fits in the seat and thighs, and have them tapered
I bought the left. But they end up looking like the right
J Crew has the classic relaxed fit which is a solid middle ground imo. Every so often you find a pair on final sale for really cheap
Is that j crew? Ngl it may be out of your comfort zone but classic relaxed fit imo looks better
Yes that’s is J.Crew. I’ll check that fit out
I have a similar build and I like the jcrew classic chinos. Jcrew's wallace & barnes selvedge officer chinos are great too.
Also if banana republic's mason fit works for you then you should try their tapered fit, it's the same fit, just relabeled.
These look basically identical to me
I’ve had lots of QC issues with BR in the past. Seams ripping etc, crotch stuff so I moved away from them. May be worth looking at again.
