DIY Dip Dye
I have a white (sheep’s)wool sweater that I’d like to be black, or maybe half black. Sort of like those sacai pieces.
Has anyone done this at home? Preferred dyes to use, tips welcomed, etc.

Yes you need acid dyes and vinegar, you probably want to figure out the concentration and color on a test garment and then heat -> stir -> cool the garment in a vat + figure out how to keep non-dyed parts fully out of the water.
My one experience is that dark colors take a long time to set and you need to keep the water consistently warm, I had to do mine twice to get the color I wanted (bc I did it outside rather than over a stove)
