Fortnite Firewall error
Hello i installed fortnite on heroic when i launch it after 7second i got a firewall error

Fortnite does not work on anything other than Windows. Some users might be able to load into the game and even play for a while, but the anti-cheat will eventually kick you out
Because of this inevitability, it's pointless to look into issues with this game, since it simply can't work (and if you do somehow manage to trick the anti-cheat, you're risking a ban)

If you install Windows 10/11 on the Steam Deck, then it will work, because it's using Windows. But with SteamOS being based on linux, it won't work. Tim Sweeney himself denied linux support.

in any case what likely happened is an old youtube video that was either from a time where it may have worked for a little while, or some videos that are misleading about whats really happening are what is probably referenced here. The kinda crappy thing about linux gaming video tutorials on youtube is that they are more or less made out of date the instant they hit the server.. either that or the information in them is just plain wrong.. but since the google search algorithm is so great, it surfaces these videos to folks trying to get fortnite to work, and it gives a false sense of it working, when in our current state it does not.
There are some really old videos out there that tell users to do things with heroic that are either no longer required for a particular game or arent even options anymore heh

i fixed using anticheat eac / battle eye runtime on steam pacakges
