Levis sherpa trucker jacket sizing

Anyone know how these run, size wise? I'm generally a size Large, but I'd want it big enough to layer up underneath

I can't comment as to the sherpa truckers but I have a standard trucker in XL and I'd say it fits pretty true to size can wear it easily with a hoodie/sweater underneath

I have a vintage (circa 80s) levi's sherpa and it's true to size for a non-slim fit. There's a bit less room to layer due to the sherpa, but not enough to offset the additional warmth if that makes sense.

That was something I forgot to mention, bear in mind that the lining will take up space in the jacket if you wanted to layer under it

Would also echo the above - no experience with their Sherpas but their standard truckers fit TTS in my experience.

I would size up on a sherpa, the lining takes away an inch minimum and can make the arm holes small if you're layering. I had 2 different Ms that I wish I had sized up on. Side note / hot take that sherpa jean jackets don't really keep you that much warmer and you're better served with an unlined jacket and wearing better inner layers

That is a hot take. I feel like my sherpa keeps me warm to well below freezing with nothing but a base layer and cotton shirt underneath. I have heard that recent levi sherpas aren't as thickly padded though.

my hot take here is that vintage GAP ones are better
