Part time professional options

Hello all, I just started taking some cpa courses part time. I noticed that the part time listing does not offer all the professional options listed on the fulltime page: https://www.senecapolytechnic.ca/programs/fulltime/CPA/courses.html For example GPU621 or GAM531. Can you not take these as a part time student? I

If its written that its for full time only then part-time students can not take it Or you could try talkin to your student advisor if they can do any ammends

Thanks, ya I guess I'll ask the advisor. Seems odd that part time can't take them since they seem to be online anyway and it doesn't explicitly say full time only on the outline.

Sometimes its because of the professor

Ah I see, too bad, I can't do full time right now. For anyone else curious about this I emailed the part time program and they said " Unfortunately we do not offer the same professional options that full-time does. Just the core courses. At the moment you cannot simply register for full-time courses on a course by course basis." Could potentially reach out to the full time area.

yea, for sure. But part-time has, as you can see, "exclusive" courses esp. java lol...

So you can register for part time courses while taking full time but not the other way around?

So ya they responded that its because faculty meets the demands of the full-time program so part time can't apply. If other part timers are interested in some of these classes we can maybe reach out PT program, because PT generally tries to match the FT offerings, but not guarantees.

really, the only recent change is BDA400 "big data" is renamed "big data and AI". nothing else is new, although PRO690 may see changes (i heard some hints)
