Could this work for black tie shoes?
I have been looking for a pair of ooera pumps, but have been unable to find one wide enough for me (US E/UK G).
Allen Edmonds has the James pair, but it's more of a loafer than a pump and the vamp isn't very low.
Could this work or should I keep trying to find a pair of pumps?

Those would definitely be fine for a black tie shoe by today’s standards — though if you prefer pumps, I’d say to hunt for pumps
I think these look terrible.
Why?
The vamp being high makes it look very casual, 360° makes it look chunkier. The last looks very round and inelegant. All things that I would look for in an opera pump. It's just such a bad execution of an opera pump.
To be constructive: what about Carmina MTO, surely they can do wide fit pumps?
Additionally for me: I ballroom dance in my patent shoes and if I'm not wearing dancing shoes I wear leather soles but not with a full rubber heel cover.

Even worse. May I ask why you want an opera pump? If you are really set on wearing an opera pump I'd look for a "true" opera pump because imo with black tie it's all about nailing the basics.
Patent leather oxfords seem taky to me, but I wonder if it's fine to wear my unpatented Oxford wholecut.
It is, you could also mirror shine the tip if you want.
