Policy Submissions
I just had a chat with Nik Samoylev (the founder of Campaign for AI Safety). One of the core things they have been doing, is helping shape policy conversation by submitting consultation papers and request for comments: https://www.campaignforaisafety.org/tag/policy/. We should do something similar.
How do do this
- Make sure you're subscribed to relevant newsletters (especially those of governmental bodies)
- Identify weaknesses in policy proposals
- Suggest changes and make a compelling case for them
- Help build the list of relevant newsletters / governmental bodies by posting below!
- If you know someone who might have a knack for doing this, point them in this direction. I think we can get funding for this.
