Wait... My fortnite also crashed yesterday using Heroic!!! But without any "crash" notification. I mean. Normally u get "ATHENA crashed" didn't saw that yesterday. I'm gonna see if I have video proof!

I currently can't find any. But the game did crash immediately after loading in lobby. Like U click the cross. And then I launched via epic games launcher and it did fine.
If u force close EAC when launching fn via epic the exact same happens (immediate exit upon getting in lobby) . It's like heroic loads in fn without EAC. That's how it felt like.

if I understand correctly, AC starts when you are about to land in a multiplayer game and then the game hangs up because Linux isn't supported. Why would heroic or rather legendary be a problem if Windows is supported by EAC?

Not a known issue, if you import your games instead of using EGL sync, that'll happen
Import assumes you'll only ever manage the game with Heroic, EGL sync works as the name suggests

Well, someone being banned allegedly only for using Heroic is certainly concerning, but then again this might be an isolated false positive happening for any unrelated reason

i dont understand why i got banned from fortnite EXACTLY after using heroic for one day
i also didnt have any cheating records nor any cheats for other games installed on my system
im not even mad im disappointed at epic game's team

we have 25% (~20 to 25k) active users on Windows. I believe that the great majority plays fortnite using Heroic daily. So I am prety sure it was a false positive

context: Lyte was the behavior expert at Riot Games. when people would claim they were unfairly banned for some innocuous or innocent behavior, he would bring the receipts in the form of chat logs where people were being incredibly toxic, racist, sexist or any combination thereof

yeah i dont know about how epic bans based on behavior, but its probably reasonable to say that there are probably other avenues to be banned from fortnite that arent cheating or using an alternate launcher of some kind

This kind of stuff makes me angry, a court where the plaintiff and judge is one and the same has to go
it is a problem and i don't know how to solve it
if they can't reveal their criteria because they fear people will avoid the detection, how about a neutral arbitor that they trust and which will look at the case?
Sidenote, but "Saucy the Pilot" is a wild name for a customer support person
I've expected an answer like that ever since you shared the first response. I would be very surprised if Heroic was actually the cause of this ban though; as was said above, people have been playing this game for years and this is the first case of a ban
