Where is the "restore" page?

I'm considering hosting a database on Neon, and want to test the point-in-time recovery feature. According to the documentation (https://neon.tech/docs/guides/branch-restore#how-to-use-branch-restore), I should be able to access a page called "Restore," but I don't see any way to get to that page. Is it because I'm on the free tier, or because my database is too new (I created it about 2 hours ago)?

It'll be available for all users soon! There's a small note at the top of the page.

Ok thanks for the info. In the meantime, if I have an issue that requires rolling back, would I just create a new branch from a past date/time, and just switch my connection to that new branch? Is there any way to replace the main branch with that new branch, or would both branches have to exist forever?

Exactly. You can do a manual restore that way. My understanding is that they both have to exist forever since the “old” branch is still considered the root branch

Ok thanks, last question. If I do a manual restore that way, would I be able to combine them back into a single branch once the Branch Restore feature is rolled out for all users? Or would both branches still need to exist forever? I guess if it really came down to it, I could always create a new database, transfer everything over to it, and remove the one with the multiple branches.

Happy to help. The release of Branch Restore won’t change the need to retain the root branch. You can rename the old branch to “root”, set the new restored branch as your primary a name it “main”. True. But there’s no issue with keep the original root lying around
