What should my next suit be?
Hi everyone,
I wear suits to work every day. I currently have a rotation of 6 suits. 2 Navy (1 each two-piece and three-piece), 2 Charcoal and 2 patterned (once again one each two- and three-piece).
However, only one of the charcoals and one of the patterned suits are what I would consider high quality (suitsupply, canvassed). The two Navys are relatively old Hugo Boss suits that are 100% wool and fused, the second charcoal and the second patterned even have a little polyester blended in.
Now I'm looking for another MTM business suit. This should be an "all season" suit (will buy a dedicated summer one in a few months) and I initially thought to go with Navy to have one nice Navy as well (I enjoy peak lapels).
I'm blonde, have light eyes and relatively light skin though, so navy tends to look quite stark on me. Should I maybe go with a mid-grey or does overloading the wardrobe with greys look boring?
Thanks!
PS: Have everything about the suit already decided except the fabric (which is arguably the most important thing)

i don't think your skintone, etc. matter for the color of your suit, go with navy if thats what you like. Also go 2piece if thats not been decided already
what's the weather like where you are?
What's your motivation for a new suit?
Pics of your current suits? idk what "patterns" means
London weather
Motivation is that I feel like the first MTM suitsupply stands out among all my suits and I like how I look and feel in it so I want another one that fits me this well and feels this good to wear.
But in the end I do already have navy suits and I don't have any in light or mid-grey
I’m not a fan of thinking about arbitrary gaps. Maybe you don’t have light grey but do you want and would you like wearing a light grey? Maybe a nicer navy suit in a different fabric or as a DB or a different shade or a different cut will be something you like more and wear more often
Chalk stripes are a cool pattern imo and becoming more in again. I think they're pretty (saw a beautiful vintage one too at a flea market)
Probably want to find some suit inspo and see what you like (and confirm that you even still want another suit)
I definitely want one
Acutally I want multiple, but at some point budget becomes a consideration
So one business suit now, one summer suit in 2 months
My patterns are two different checks. (In dry cleaning right now so will send pictures when they are back)
One of my navy ones has to be retired soon, already bought it used with a few scruffs and now it's getting scratches and holes
Leaning to one of these
