Advice on monitors pls
I have a pretty old budget but still pretty decent VA panel 144 hz monitor, it works but ive felt ghosting sometimes, i was thinking about upgrading it for a 165 hz ips monitor. is it worth it?

Mfocus on ips panel, response time(both gtg and mprt), features such as dc modulation, vrr, blacklight strobing, most of then should have these features, but performance on blacklight strobing can varies, so look out for any professional review

Moh well u are one of those who fell into gimmicks
Mthere are many monitors advertised as "1ms"
Mso what? they still suck
Mthey're best results measured, and mprt isn't same as gtg response time
Mmprt is more important for comp games, yeah, no arguments, but slow gtg response time can also give u incredible bad experience
Mthe common way to enhance mprt is to implement backlight strobing/black frame insertion
Mand it's performance also varies depending on how manufacturers implement them
Msame with the opposite, slow mprt fast gtg response time, u will get blurry images while playing fast paced games
Mlook out for some actual reviews rather than advertising gimmicks
Mmaybe u are good enough with that but def not everyone

Mgenerally monitors with gsync ultimate or freesync premium pro are good enough, manufacturers wont use those chips on bad monitors
Mif a manufacturer believe in their product quality, they'd also give atleast 3 years warranty
