im getting the error code VAN -79 and I don't even see this error code on their website??

Open cmd as admin. Enter each command one by one. netsh int ip reset, ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, ipconfig /flushdns, netsh winsock reset

Yes, I think it’s a new bug, only recently I saw people making tickets about it on this server and also on Reddit

I solved it, it turns out that the VGC service was stopped and I couldn't start it manually because it was giving me an error. What I did was to enter the following commands in CMD as administrator and restart the PC:
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF
bcdedit -set NOINTEGRITYCHECKS OFF
I don't know if this will work for you but that's what just worked for me.
Check in services if VGC is set to Manual or Automatic. If it is set to Manual you should right click on properties and change it to Automatic.
The problem is in the VGC service, can't start manually too, but the CMD is not resolving it

This does not work, everyone already tried that, this is error code -79 (a new error code), not error code -81
For some people this may work on VAN-79, I did it, And It fixed my Error, I hope you find a fix soon for it aswell LeonBlaze

restarting and redownloading vgc, checking for malwares, Perform Clean Boot; Expect VGC And Microsoft Services
none ot that works
Please make sure Vanguard is installed
Go to the Vanguard directory and make sure vgc.exe exist
Program files\Riot Vanguard

settings > Reset this pc > keep my files > resets pc > reinstall applications > problem solved

I tried running those commands but I ran into these errors.
Also had the same issue of being unable to start vgc, likely because of this problem here.
Anyone know what to do? Or should I just wait until this gets patched lol
You must disable Secure Boot Control from the BIOS, I recommend that you look for a video so you can see the process.
If you don't want to mess with it, then wait for a fix :/.

Reinstall windows. Thats the only solution I am aware of.
Open - Mouse has buttons - Device Administrator - Audio, video and game controller open - sonic Studo Virtual Mixer - Delete - Restart - Error file will become van9003

My issue got fixed by its own when i opened valorant after 2 days 🙂
Open vgtray, if the icon is glowing yellow, delete the file that the background is complaining about, reboot the pc, repeat the actions
If it doesn't work, reinstall the valorant
