cloudflare pages custom domain

Sorry for the stupid question, I don't really have any experience with DNS settings.
I am trying to host my static website on Cloudflare pages and i also have a custom domain from GoDaddy.
I am not sure if it is related but the site is currently deployed in preview environment.
I have tried to follow the instructions. I configured the nameservers on the GoDaddy side, and I have a CNAME configuration pointing to my pages project (the alias url).
I can see a suggestion about "Add an A, AAAA, or CNAME record for your root domain so that xy.com will resolve" but I am not sure how to configure that what IP should be used there?
