cloudflare pages custom domain

Hi, Sorry for the stupid question, I don't really have any experience with DNS settings. I am trying to host my static website on Cloudflare pages and i also have a custom domain from GoDaddy. I am not sure if it is related but the site is currently deployed in preview environment. I have tried to follow the instructions. I configured the nameservers on the GoDaddy side, and I have a CNAME configuration pointing to my pages project (the alias url). I can see a suggestion about "Add an A, AAAA, or CNAME record for your root domain so that xy.com will resolve" but I am not sure how to configure that what IP should be used there? Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Under the Pages Project, navigate to Custom Domains and add your domain there, it'll take care of creating the record for you. You can't just create a CNAME/records without adding it there Magic link: https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/pages/view/:pages-project/domains
