witcher enhanced edition doesn't launch
Hello, I seem to have an with some missing dependency(but it might be something else), but I can't figure out what it is. I do have wine dependencies installed (from here https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/WineDependencies.md), and also while trying to search here for an answer I came about
freetype having to be installed, but I have that aswell, in both 64b and 32b. Specifically I get this in my game log15 Replies

given that you have 1660ti mobile, I think you have to enable use dedicated GPU and Nvidia Prime

Hmm as far as I know I should be using dedicated GPU as my primary GPU(so it should presumably be launching with it). But I kinda "solved it" by installing it through lutris, where so far it is running without any issues

didn't Heroic install GOG dependencies?
that should be all that is required

I do have this in my downloads in heroic, not sure if you mean this or something else. No idea if it's worth mentioning but I play other games from GOG without issues.

try deleting
/home/bob/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/The Witcher Enhanced Edition
and run the game again
it should recreate the prefix and possibly reinstall the dependenciesmetropolitan-bronzeOP•16mo ago

try changing the prefix config to
/home/bob/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/The Witcher Enhanced Edition (without the default folder)
also try enabling the Use dedicated gpu option

Use Wine-GE and install d3dx9_35 using winetricks.

32 bit prefixes suck, there is no real reason for them nowadays
I believe you can skip the launcher and just add exe override
to launch game directly

I'm inclined to not use some of the things gleaned from that script given its age. set Heroic to install the dependencies and redo the prefix. post your game logs as well
