Gamescope frequently crashes on boot

I often see the blinking cursor

when booting up bazzite or switching back to game mode. IDK what is happening. I have no layered packages. Maybe there can be a systemd service that will attempt to restart gamescope if it failed to load and/or at least print some sort of error instead of the blinking
