wiring a TS 3.5mm jack microphone

Hi everyone i am trying to wire up a TS (mono) microphone trought jack to read it trought adc gpio, i tried every wiring i could found without any success, docs says gpio to tip and ground to sleeve but i cant see anything passing throught, i tried wiring it to my computer to see how he handles it and i saw a 1.44 volts output from the computer, with this i was able to read the tip with the adc but thats using external power supply, i tried giving 1.44 volts to the sleeve but i cant get any data out of the microphone (i might have done it wrong if its the solution), anyone could explain to me how to do it ?
