im working on a minecraft server and i need a subdomain to send the players to the server
yeah that's no problem
you can have
example. com pointing at something and minecraft.example.com point at your minecraft server
note that if you don't own the domain you need to ask the person who owns it to add a dns record for the subdomain of your choice for it to resolve to your serveri do own the domain
then there's no problem
just put it in an A record?
I do the same thing, I have my site hosted at idle.cool and minecraft.idle.cool points at my minecraft server

or AAAA if it's a ipv6 address
for minecraft servers you need to disable proxying though
since it's not a https service
