Rain World not loading from Amazon Games App - on Steamdeck
I have tried using various versions of Proton and Wine. Here is the end of the log I get when I try with Proton experimental:

turn on dxvk and vkd3d, this game worked ootb for me

also don't use Proton, also don't cut out half of the log when providing it

This is with Wine 7-43. I checked the boxes for installing dxvk vkd3d on prefix. Still no dice.

use an updated wine version, that one is very old. the latest or highest numbered 8 version
turn off use system libs
the prefix directory should be specific to the game, so instead of
/home/deck/Games/Heroic/Prefixesuse
/home/deck/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/Rain Worldit will be created at the game's runtime

are you using heroic's wine manager to download it? i assume so, but let's make sure

Looks like the same result
I'm going to try to reinstall
So the first time I ran it after reinstall, Heroic alerted me that it could not find Wine Default, but asked if I wanted it to try to use the latest Wine - I said yes.
But I'm still getting the same error.
In fact any game I try to launch with wine seems to get the same error - cannot find the filepath for wine.
both for amazon and epic games
