Accessing a cloudflare account

Hi 🙂 I'm working with a client, that currently has their webiste routed through cloudflare. The old developer has "ghosted" them, therefore we don't have access to their Cloudflare account, and think that he used a personal email. Is there an option to migrate this to another account, keeping all DNS records intact?

If you don't have access to the old account then there is no way to keep the DNS record data intact for proxied records as we intentionally keep that information private to protect customer security and privacy. You would need to add the domain to a new account, setup the DNS records as advised by the host provider or indeed yourself if you're self-hosting, and then switch the nameservers at the registrar to point to the new account once everything is ready

Ah, makes sense. I thought there was a way to get those records, if we have domain ownership information etc. Thanks anyways - we will make it work 🙂
