Can a brown suede jacket work with black leather shoes?
Hey fellas, I would like to hear your opinions on weather brown suede jacket could go along with black leather shoes/boots, or is it still a faux pas to mix leathers this way? I'm eyeballing this suede jacket on a trifting site, but my footware is either black leather or white canvas. For reference, I expertly photoshopped this image. The black Dickies and boots is what I usually wear.

Yeah this works. I'd wear your pants forwards though.
Imo "matching your leathers" doesn't apply to boots and leather jacket. Really just a boots and belt thing, and also more fluid in casual fits.

That's a good take! As for the pants, anyone else find them more comfortable wearing backwards? No? Just me? Oh well...
Thanks! Matching leathers is one of those broad "rules" I heard about, like "no brown in town", or "no white after labor day"; but never mastered the nuances. But happy to learn!
The other two are mostly classist junk more than anything else. But if you're wearing a suit to a like work function or wedding definitely make sure the belt and shoes match. Beyond that it's all swag
