“steam button” can’t be held down (ROG ALLY)

The system is emulating a PS5 controller and I’m not able to hold down the “steam button” (the button that opens up the home, library, store, friends and chat etc, side menu. When I hold it down it doesn’t hold down, as soon as I let go then it acts as a single press, this makes me not able to use shortcuts such as opening the virtual keyboard.
