GTA5 Connectivity Issue
Greetings everyone!
So recently i installed NobaraOS 39 (which is a fedora based OS) and i installed heroic launcher to play some GTA5. But when i launched the game it gave me an error saying: (Please see the photo)
I thought it was some network issue so i rebooted the computer. But it didn't work at all. I tried to see if my network is working correctly and everything was fine. I even changed the DNS settings to persist across reboots, but it didnt work.
I also verified the game files but it didn't work as well. I am Wine GE Latest for running the game. I am using the latest Heroic version 2.13.0.

Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz
Memory: 11.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Xe Graphics
I tried using snap and rpm version of the launcher but they didn't work as well. I am currently using the flatpak version and i have the r/w permissions to run the game because it's installed to an external drive.
If anyone knows the problem to it, please help! Thanks!

the paths look like windows because it runs inside the wine prefix, it's for linux and mac (and probably works on windows too), all the info is in there

you need the fix.bat for the game to work, you only need to run it without the
fix.bat once so it installs the Rockstar Launcher, once the launcher is installed you need the fix file
I don't know why it thinks you are offline, you can try if using a VPN or changing the DNS servers fixes that but I haven't seen that issueother-emeraldOP•15mo ago
I did mention changing the dns in the post btw. It didn't work for some reason but I will try running it once without fix.bat. thanks

having the prefix inside the game install directory is not recommended, you have the game installed in
/run/media/revanth/SlayerDrive/EpicGamesLibrary/GTAV and the prefix is in /run/media/revanth/SlayerDrive/EpicGamesLibrary/GTAV/wine_prefix (I don't think this is causing an issue, but just wanted to mention it's not recommended, on windows the system files are never inside a game install directory and that's what you do when you put the prefix inside it), by default heroic uses a different folder for the prefixes
just to be sure, the error you are having currently is that you click Play and it opens the Rockstar Launcher and it says you are offline?other-emeraldOP•15mo ago

i mean it's saying both
in the logs it mentions that i am running offline
and then i am getting this
134 error
btw i am not running using fix.bat currently

can you open this url? https://status.epicgames.com/api/v2/components.json it's the one heroic uses to check if the epic services are online
for some reason heroic can't access some endpoints and it adds the
--offline flag thinking it's offline

i did that a few weeks ago
ok nvmd i am running using the script now
lets see
if it works or not
so i got enable cloud saves
i am running the game again
it says authorization pending...
and then does nothing

I'm guessing then that it was some connectivity issue at that point, some temporary issue (maybe the internet provider or something, who knows)

damn man not bad 60-65fps for an iGPU at native resolution

you can go ahead and remove
DXVK_ASYNC from your environment variables
it was deprecated in GE-Proton7-45 and was never included in Wine-GE. you would've had to manually add the necessary libraries for this to have any effect, and it's not compatible with DXVK v2 anywayother-emeraldOP•15mo ago
