Are these neckties good for a single-breasted navy blazer?

I like the Brooks Brother's one but my friend says it looks a little like Hogwarts lol The Hermes one looks amazing but I'm unsure if it's too loud (I don't think the H print is visible unlelss inspected up close) My tops: white shirts, ocbds, and a pink shirt My bottoms: light washed jeans, green army pants, and gray slacks (soonTM) my blazer's lapel measures 10cm and the brooks brother's tie is 10cm at its thickest while the hermes is 9cm. my only other "casual" tie is a black knit tie from beams x ascot

I originally wanted this tie but someone beat me to the sale. it's narrow though for my blazer. it's just 8cm at its thickest

With the right styling, you can make a wide variety of ties work with a range of shirts and jackets. That said - I do think either of those might be a bit less versatile than I might opt for, but wouldn’t be bad to have for a rotation. I also don’t really subscribe to the whole tie/lapel width parity thing, and just shoot for like 8cm or 3.15/3.25” There’s also a million and a half ties on eBay. If there’s a pattern that you’d prefer but missed out on, I could just about guarantee that there’s like 4 other ties just like it for sale. Hermes ties go for like $90+ fairly regularly, which is more than a bit steep imo. I’d only scoop ties for more than $30 shipped that I really like, cuz past that you can order new ties from various retailers of increasing quality.

the brooks brothers is like 35usd and the hermes is 45usd! im trying to emulate cityboy_shinn with the brooks brothers tie. and then i just thought having a red tie is neat but a solid red tie is a bit too loud for my taste, hence the patterned hermes tie

I like the plain blue and yellow more than the first one you posted. Then the Hermes one. Both will be great in those types of fits but the ones you linked are just rep ties so you could drop the Hermes one Worth noting idt he’s wearing a sb jacket in any of those fits

so drop the hermes ties in favor of the rep ties from breuer and zegna?

The tie bar I think starts around $30 or so Depends on your inspo. Im not familiar with his other fits but those pics are just rep ties. I like the Hermes one personally but that doesn’t mean you would wear it or like it. Ultimately up to you

thank u. the plain blue and yellow one is quite narrow. it's just 7.5cm. u think itll look odd on a blazer with a 10cm lapel? thank u also for the info. learning lots!

On the lower end, I’d second Beans that Tie Bar is pretty affordable. Mountain and Sackett - $70 ($50 on sale) MiUSA, a little bulkier than I’d prefer, but lots of great rep patterns. They’ll be restocking their black watch tie in 1-2 weeks, per the email I got this morning haha. Granqvist - €60-100, depending on sales and type. I like these guys for shantungs and knits, but their regular grenadines are also good. Sam Hober - $120+, pretty much the highest I’ve cared to go in ties, and technically a “bespoke” maker. You can specify length and width + give different widths at various lengths for a custom pattern. More unique grenadines, and you can order some swatches too to vibe check them.
