Spending transparency - sharing insights in our cashflow
Now that we're starting to get some donations (thank you so much to all those who sacrificed their hard earned cash!), it becomes more important to give people insight in how we spend our money. As some of you may already know, I value transparency highly and believe that it is highly useful for growing trust and improving decision making. It helps to convince potential donors and it helps us to think carefully about how we allocate funds.
So, I think it's good if we give a lot of insight into how we spend our money. This should ideally be done publicly, on the website, available for all to see.
I'd like some input on how we can do this, and to what degree we're transparent.

- Should we share salaries of each and every person receiving one? Do we provide names, or a list?
- How do we visualise all of this? Should we make one highly stylized page with a bunch of charts?
- How do we categorise our spending? (e.g salaries / grants / other expenses, or way more fine-grained?)
- How often should we update this? We have a legal obligation to do this in 2026, but that's far too late for... obvious reasons.
- Discuss the questions above
- Share good examples of spending insight pages / reports from other NGOs
- Come up with an amazing design
