HDD vs SSD Question

Recently I’ve been having some issues where Valorant either takes forever to load me into a game (mostly in TDM or escalation), or just freezes at the end of agent select/the game loading screen, forcing me to restart it. The other day I upgraded my RAM (and also updated to Windows 11) and since then my loading times have been much faster, so I thought the issue was finally gone, but then tonight my game froze during agent select and now I have a queue ban because of it (but the freezes seem to be the only issue; my loading times have been normal ever since I fixed my RAM). So my question is: I’m currently using an HDD, is it actually worth getting an SSD/is that likely to fix this type of issue? I saw some comments about it in other posts, but I want to be sure that getting an SSD would actually be worth it and would fix this problem, especially since nowadays it’s just freezes (no long load times). And it hardly happens at all, but I don’t want to keep getting long queue bans every time it does 😭

Also I did just try to optimize and defragment my HDD (it’s in progress right now), if that helps to know at all

Upgrading from an hdd to ssd is the best decision one can make, in case of buying pc parts. The difference should be day and night 101% worth it

And it would probably fix game freezing issues too?

Mostly yes. How much time does it take u to open ur game normally rn?

Well before I upgraded my RAM and windows, it would generally take about 3-5 minutes from when I started the game to when I could actually access the menu, and load times in games were really long in most cases, sometimes not getting in until after it started Now it’s more like: if it’s my first time opening the game that day then it takes about 2-5 minutes still, if not then it’s pretty much instant So I thought the issues were gone but earlier my game just straight up froze at the end of agent select, which is the sort of thing that I’m wondering if an SSD would fix

It should fix it And get the load times to like 2 minutes maximum Also the speed at which ur pc opens up will be so much faster

Oh yeah that’s also a big issue I still have even with the RAM upgrade lol But uh good comms, thanks 🙏 I’ll probably get an SSD soon
