Rockstar launcher is broken again
The previous error 134 was no trouble anymore thanks to the fix.bat solution seen in this server. (thanks arieljuod). But today I had another Rockstar Launcher Update and it got broke again.
The game wont launch. I tried some workarounds, like deleting the prefix, changing the prefix to the actual game folder, different wine versions, reboots, etc.
What I get now is a error message telling that another instance of the Rockstar Launcher is already running and/or that the game should be reinstalled because the launcher was not found.
Is anyone having the same error?

Everytime I try to launch the game the Rockstar client installation begins. It seems it can't find it. Tried to install it before and after adding the fix.bat to the alternative EXE run. Also tried to fully download and reinstall the game. Same results. The game was working fine some days ago (RDR2).

I see you changed wine version a few times in those logs, the game should work with wine-ge-proton so no need to try others. do this:
- delete the prefix folder
- remove the
fix.bat configuration
- keep wine-ge-latest
- run the game once (it should install the rockstar launcher), log in, close it
- set the fix.bat
- launch the game
the rockstar launcher should start and then the game should start
if it doesn't work share a game log (you shared heroic's and legendary's log, but you didn't share the RDR2 log)ambitious-aquaOP•2y ago
Thanks for the reply. I have tried that once or twice, as you said, running the game once and then setting the fix.bat. I tried that even after a complete reinstall.

this error seems to be the problem:
is this file in this location inside the prefix?
"C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Launcher\LauncherPatcher.exe"
I've read some people had to change some things in that path (I think someone got the launcher installed in the
Program Files (x86) folder instead of Program Files for exampl)
make sure the fix.bat file references the exact path of the LauncherPatcher.exe file inside the prefix
