Looking for an alternative to Oree Derbies

I like that they are chunky, big heeled, and Vibram soled. However, I cannot front the +$400 price tag. I would prefer a pebble letter or just normal leather (not this shiny leather) but I'm flexible. Is this price too high or given that it's ethically made with good construction, it is to be expected?
