X Endstop Always Triggered

I'm having an issue where my x endstop is always showing as triggered in Klipper. The endstop light turns on when pressed, but seems not to register the input.
I'm following this ↓ wiring diagram for the octopus.
I've replaced the wire because I thought the the other one was getting hot - and, because I had to flip the wire. With the new wire (pictured) I still can't get it to work, so I can't tell if it's a hardware or software issue.
