confused about my act rank triangle

i played a couple matches and got promoted to bronze and haven't played comp since then. shouldn't my triangle show iron and then bronze, instead of bronze and then iron? also, my tracker says my current/peak rank is iron?

edit: just realized that the act rank triangle shows your latest rank at the top
