Please help me refresh my wardrobe.

I've never really cared about my clothes ever. My mom would get me some clothes whenever she would go shopping with my dad, and that worked pretty well for me. I never really had a proper style, I was wearing everything, but now that I am living miles away from home and working a corporate job, I am thinking about changing my look in general and properly styling myself into something more better and defined. I would like something like this https://pin.it/7L0Mdv28K but I don't know what this type of blazer is called and what I should search for. I have a pretty slim body and I don't have any muscles but I think I can pull off something similar. I like the smart casual minimalist simple and sober look that this has. I am not too stubborn about this style, if you have any other suggestions please let me know. I just would like to buy clothes that I can wear in the office as well as somewhere out and about and it is simple looking not too weird or super fancy. Thank you!

What budget level are you at?

I'm sorry but don't know what the appropriate amount I should be spending is. I don't want to get something over expensive. But I don't mind spending money as well. 🥲

that's completely understandable, the reason i ask is so that people don't give you advice for brands or things to explore that are significantly higher or lower than what you were expecting. fashion/clothing in general can be extremely expensive. there's a lot of people at different stages of life, so affordability is something to consider, especially when you're starting out my recommendation is to start here: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1125076626665910332 and narrow down what you're interested in. giving advice too broad often means you just consume without actually considering what you want.

Sure! Thanks! The pin that I've linked in the post. What is that type of clothing called?? Is it a suite jacket or a blazer or a party wear blazer? And do you think it would be a good idea to get 4-5 of these just in different colours

i wouldn't suggest this as an entry point my suiting knowledge is very poor hahah it looks like an orphan blazer though, i also wouldn't recommend that. i think it's a trap that people get into early on to think that toned down formal wear = looks good. i think get the basics down and you'll have room to grow.

Yeah thats a suit jacket worn without suit trousers. If you want something like that, a blazer which is basically a jacket you can wear without matching trousers, is a better option as a general rule, get like one of something, see how you like it, then if you like and use it, think about getting more. Its better to go slowly, and treat it as a sort of ongoing thing, rather than a thing you can tick off in a week or one shop if that makes sense

Alrighty, thanks! I am still reading from #fashion-guides as @Billiam's PC suggested. I like the sound of getting one of something like in the image first. Because reading #fashion-guides is just giving me more confusion. 😅 I am the type of person that prefers wearing one single outfit everyday. But reading through the guide I feel like there are sooooo manyy options.
