Is there a way to have both Split and ->label?

Want:
Labels displayed as labels in a Split layout (or switch to default layout with proper labels (overflow) when ->from('sm') does not apply).

Have:
This workaround:
add label in layout table split
does not work for IconColumn, any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated.
