Navigation mixe groups and items

Hello,
I would like to know if I can alternate groups and items in the PanelProvider->navigation ? The top level items are in alphabetical order.

A - Group 1
-> add model 1
-> list model 1

B - Model 2 list

C - Model 3 list

D - Group 2
-> add model 4
-> list model 4
