No Fog and problem with textures?

I'm using DH 2.0.1a on a CUSTOM FORGE MODPACK on MC 1.20.1, using OPTIFINE, and basically: • FOG doesn't work, no matter the settings. I even tried to delete the DH config file but it didn't change anything. • I'm using a custom Texture Pack and it seems the LODs won't use those texture. Is it normal? I thought the LODs were supposed to "adapt" to the texture packs.. • Also don't know why, but some pieces of LODs are shown when underwater.. Attaching a couple of images AND the list of all the mods currently active on my CUSTOM MODPACK, hoping that these will help better identify the problems

optifine support is iffy atm due to backend changes between forge/optifine/DH if you dont use shaders and just want rendering optimization from Optifine, try embeddium instead

So it's only a matter of time before OF support gets "back"?

yes

Hey, just a quick question: my Optifine-based texture pack won't work as intended with rubidium, right? I mean all the colormap things, and other stuff that works well with optifine..

i don't know forge alternatives for those features, but fabric do have mods that implement those OF features if you can move most of your modpack to fabric i'd suggest try that and dont use rubidium, embeddium's better (if you switched to that)

I've switched to embeddium, it's so powerful! I'm playing on FORGE only because there's a life-saver mod called "Pickle Tweaks", that won't make the tool break when they reach durability=0 and allows the player to repair the tools in the portable crafting grid by putting the tool and the material they're made of. A life-saver when using enchanted tool and you don't happen to have an Anvil with you. As soon I manage to find a Fabric mod that does the same things PICKLE TWEAKS does, I'm switching to fabric

@MrMattsBlog Do you still need support or can I close this issue?

Technically yes: I kinda resolved my issues by using embeddium as @Maybike (GMT+7) advised me, but these issues still exist on Optifine, which is my main mod. Embeddium is very cool but 80% of my custom texture pack doesn’t work without optifine, hence my needs on using it, hence the issue is still technically open. I’m waiting on closing it until the optifine support for DH gets back. Is it fine for you?

Almost every optifine feature has been done by other mods

I already got those, I still haven’t find a mod for the optifine colormaps grid.. you happen to know a mod to fix that?

This worked! Gotta fix a couple of things in my texturepack but it works now. So the point now is: The embeddium workaround is effective, and it resolves my issues, BUT the same problem still exists on optifine, even tho it's not "my problem" anymore. So, if you want to close this help-me section, do it. But I'd keep it open as a reminder that there's not a fix for OF, but a workaround (I'm stating this in case there are people who insists on using OF instead of other mods such as embeddium) Thanks to all anyway, you guys sure are fast and DO KNOW a lot of mods I've never heard before! ❤️
