After returning to gaming mode from desktop mde, BazziteOS installs Steam Client Stable

I'm on Steam Deck Beta client on Bazzite and everytime I switch to desktop mode and go back to Gaming mode, it automatically downloads and installs Steam Deck client Stable. The video shows it in more detail and how the installation screen is now white instead of showing the Bazzite logo.
I don't want to use Stable because I am part of the new Families beta and am using the new Steam Input features which are not available in Stable.
I also tried rebasing to 39 0406 but it keeps ending up with a gpg error.
