Layering Feral Gamemode
I can no longer layer Feral Gamemode, I get the following error:
error: Checkout gamemode-1.7-5.fc40.i686: Hardlinking f1/b427fb0b2a8ed11667e5c05c628e6010b890dd14ce2cd8b20d2d842ca53e1f.file to gamemode-simulate-game: File exists
I need it because I get significantly smoother performance in Rocket League while using it. I have tried TuneD to change profiles while the game is active and it helps a bit but my experience with it has not been as good as gamemode.
According to the in-game graphs (and my feel of the game), the performance is much worse when not using either TuneD profiles or gamemode. When I use gamemode, the graphs are always perfectly smooth, while there are some hiccups if I use the latency-performance profile in TuneD.
Now TuneD is no longer available and I also am not able to layer gamemode. What are my options?
