Shareholder activism
Members of Pause.AI can attend the corporate AGMs of companies like Meta, Open AI etc through buying merely one share. We can then protest inside the AGMs and it can be newsworthy, as well as sending a strong message to shareholders. Almost certainly, protestors would be escorted out by security.
I have previously done this as a Campaigner with a corporate campaign. An organiser coordinated supporters to register for one share each in the company. Then we were all entitled to attend the AGM, and once inside, we took off our jackets revealing a protest message across our t-shirts underneath. It secured media attention and made shareholders aware of our concerns.
This project seeks an organiser with a big level of involvement and other volunteers with a medium level of involvement (able to attend an AGM of OpenAI or Meta or other campaign targets TBD.)
