Controller not working in bazzite-arch Steam

I have an 8bitdo controller. It works perfectly on the Flatpak version of Steam, but it's not working on Steam from bazzite-arch. Steam from there is not detecting the controller at all.

Is this a known issue? I couldn't find any info about it online.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

Has to be connected before the box is started
