Great idea! however, are these areas really at scale? Intuitively it feels like the area of the circle on the right would be much more than 10 times the central one

I tend to communicate using "brain size" analogies.

This one doesn't work as a static image, but works moderately well in an animated presentation (first see the example, then show the number).

E.g.: GPT-4 has about 2 trillion parameters, and a mouse has about 2 trillion synapses. These two things are quite analogous, as AI models are modelled after neurons and synapses.

However, this brain size thing lacks an "intuitive" visual scale. I like the circles with surface area.
