Desktop Crashing?

Hey guys, Since updating my system and switching to Wayland I'm noticing my dsektop crashing, freezing for an extended period of time. Sometimes after a short while, all my button clicks and apps open in a flurry and it starts working again. I can still tab between open apps and use them whilst the desktop is not responding. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

it also got those crashing and freezing for me, another thing is how many panels and widgets do you have over there, you could switch back to X11 for now

I could switch back, still would be nice to know I fix and get that applied if there is one out there. I'd be curious to know if plasma is more stable currently?

from my testing from yesterday I found that having too many panels and widgets will likely make it crashed (in my case 3-4 default panels triggered it) so just reduce to 1 panel per monitor to see how it is

Hmm, I've got a rather minimal taskbar/panel. I've as few resource widgets that I could remove

ah, try to reduce resolution, disable floating, and probably some more way to make it render less I guess, I don't want to test it more since it will always end in I'm having to pull the plug out

Not a solution for KDE crashing, but I had the same issue with Nvidia / 555 drivers and Wayland on KDE so switched to Gnome It doesn't suffer the same crashes so is an alternative if you cannot resolve KDE issues. KDE should eventually update to fix these things
