Alternative to Discord: Telegram
Discord is a HUGE barrier to entry for your average uncle on the street. It is a good infrastructure for core activism, strategising and media creation/management, but we will_not grow exponentially with just Discord.
To quote ActivistHandbook:
"[Discord, Slack etc.] are developed specifically for larger organisations and thus have extensive functionality to help you communicate as efficiently as possible. However, having such extensive functionality also means that members of your movement will have to learn how to use these tools. People will have to download a new app and they will have to become accustomed to checking it regularly for updates. All of this might make it harder for new activists to join your movement. As your organisation grows, you will have to find a balance between accessibility and efficiency. You might want to consider using a combination of both simple chat apps for newcomers, and dedicated communication tools for activists that are already more involved with your movement."

That article suggests Telegram and Signal.
The BEST tool to use is the one that our potential volunteers are MOST LIKELY to actually use instead of discarding it altogether as overwhelming, too complex, novel, "too_much" etc.
Preferably, we should have our own APP for iOs/Android, but that's perhaps a later project.
Here's a Telegram channel I created to test this method. You need the QR code above or this link to join: https://t.me/+UXJgWXhZMDNkMjU0
I've had experience running/admin-ing Telegrams so I decided to jump-start this and see what we can do with it. Do follow the link and check it out.
Need: techies familiar with Telegram Bots to set up at_least Meet And Greet
Writers ready to adjust our website/Discord content to Telegram format
Admins to watch over the Comments channel (mostly will be done by bot)
Strategy team to plan how to better integrate it into PauseAI organization.
