Dual-GPU
Hi. So I have two GPUs, only one is connected with a display cable to my monitor. There's an issue on X11 with this where it tries to put displays on each GPU unless you tell it not to in xorg.conf (with AutoBindGPU false or something). This prevents Nvidia server settings from having a lot of options, gsync for example.
This may also be the source of an error with steam where when it launches, all I can see is a bunch of colored static in its window. The colored static is also an issue with chrome and chromium which I tried to install because Firefox crashes all the time. edit - apparently if I click on the steam window it corrects itself.
Kwin has processes running on the secondary GPU (ksmserver and kaccess) and Nvidia server settings has essentially no settings to modify (no gsync either) so I suspect it may be the same problem. Is there a way to tell KDE not to use one of the GPUs?
I tried setting KWIN_DRM_DEVICES=card2 (the one I want it to use) in a script in /etc/profile.d but it doesn't seem to be working.
