the only configuration needed is to make the DLL overrides look like the ones in the screenshot? (I think those can also be changed with env variables, that would make it easier to explain to new users)

Yes, only these configs. Actually with these overrides game is running using DXVK instead of GPTK

@PvaLiim you can create bottle in Whisky app, copy full path and paste to winePrefix folder field. Or you can set desired path to winePrefix folder and run the game (in this case Heroic app will create bottle automatically)

hey guys, so i did all of the steps above but im still getting nowhere. i tried with crossover 24 and i also tried this whisky method and none of it is working.
i tried the fix.bat method again but that is broken after the update
okay so update
i ran rocket launcher through whisky and logged in
and then ran the game through heroic with the alternative exe path set to PlayGTAV.exe
the game runs but there's a lot of weird artifacts

Still not working. I made a fresh whisky bottle in case I messed something up. I added the same overrrides in the wine config and in whisky, I enabled dxvk. Are there any other settings that need to be changed

- Click on "Open Wine Configuration" and:
- Under the "Application" tab add Launcher.exe (most likely from C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V).
- While Launcher.exe is selected in the "Application" tab, switch to the "Libraries" tab and add d3d10core, d3d11, dxgi selecting the "Native then Buildin" option for all.

thats because its not required anymore (the fix for error 134)

It is not necessary to match the wineprefix folder with the path in the screenshot. Anyway, this workaround no longer works after the latest Rockstar Launcher and Whiskey updates.
