which password should I enter?
in the tutorial video, when application opens, there is no prompt to enter a password, whereas on the device Iḿ using there is a password prompt

Same problem...I set all the passwords to be literally "12345678" and when I try to unlock it gives me an error....
is the password?

Yeah I get the same issue - Ubuntu modded xfce, when it locks neither user or root password works, haven't figured out why yet but if you
vncserver-stop & vncserver-start again - it restarts xfce which gets you back in
I've gone into the settings in xfce & turned off auto lock and screensaver - doesn't solve the issue but stops it from happening if you can support no lock screen over VNC
