It looks like he’s using the byte order mark to obfuscate
I have an obfuscation and deobfuscation using that method
my question is does the code still run
obfuscation means it's not easier to read or understand but still in an executable state
Depends if your lucky sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't ima try to fix
it does since CMD reads files as ANSI and reads the BOM as some weird chars
