Resident Evil ReBirth instantly closes
I've been trying to get ReBirth to work using these instructions (I've made doubly sure I've set Heroic to download the japanese version) https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1255461308023836705/1255941090167750662 and the furthest I can get are the ReBirth settings. Afterwards a window opens and briefly goes fullscreen before closing out to the desktop. I checked the log but it doesn't really report any errors. I can get the game working by just using
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=ddraw.dll=n,b;dinput.dll=n,b but that comes with the problems of FMVs not working and controller support being ass at best. I tried the above instructions using Lutris thinking it might be dgvoodoo2 throwing the whole thing off but I got the same results.
Is there something else I'm missing or are the GOG rereleases of Resident Evil just broken on Linux?1 Reply
