to not use egs
its bloated and slow, heroic is light weight
Refresh your library in Heroic, that should make it pick up that the game needs an update

How is the update here that is not available in epic games xD
The update percentage can be a little weird for Fortnite. You can check
%APPDATA%\heroic\GamesConfig\Fortnite.log for a more precise progress report

Right, I'm guessing you imported the game then. Cancel the update, then continue reading.
When importing a game, Heroic assumes that it's the only launcher touching that game. Only use it if you plan on uninstalling the EGL right after
That's why you have this update now, the EGL already did this update sometime in the past, but Heroic has no way of knowing about that, so it does it again
What you want is EGL Sync (found in the settings)
